Training CAT 3: Amusement Technician

The required qualifications, experience and training hours are as follows as per Emirates International Accreditation Centre (EIAC): EIAC-RQ-CB-009 requirements . However, the required qualification and experience can be evaluated based on country specific/ local requirements

The ride maintenance team will be subjected to periodic training programs. These training programs will be updated according to the updates that are achieved in the maintenance procedures used worldwide. The training will be provided on the procedures of the manufacturer of each ride.

All maintenance personnel will be trained properly in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations repair replace calibrate... etc all in their specialty.

Maintenance personnel will undertake not to make any changes, modifications or replacement of parts except in original parts and according to the instructions of the manufacturer. The understanding of the mechanism of the contract between the owner and the maintenance team shall be undertaken. No amendment or substantive repair shall be made without the written approval of the manufacturer with the method of repair and change.

   Diploma in any of the engineering discipline related to the field of work.

   One year experience in the related field.

   50 working/training hours under direct supervision of authorized trainer from the training provider.

   First aid qualification as per the local requirement

   where the certification scheme is applied.

Technical Maintenance Assistant

   Diploma in any of the engineering discipline related to the field of work.

   Six-Month experience in the related field.

   20 working/training hours under direct supervision of authorized trainer from the training provider.

   First aid qualification as per the local requirement

   where the certification scheme is applied.

12 (Hours)

The training program will include the following points:

   Introducing of rides mechanical and electrical parts.

   Definition of rides control procedures.

   Define the different types of maintenance to which the ride is subject to.

   Definition of different types of faults and how to deal with.

   Specification of the parts of the ride according to the requirements and instructions of the manufacturer

   Definition of risks arising from dealing with hazardous substances (oils, grease, etc.)

   Definition of how to secure and deal with different sources of energy

   Define safe work practices in dismantle, installation and replacement of different parts of the ride.

   Define how to deal in emergencies and the procedures to be followed to restart the ride.
